After seven months of physical therapy doing stretches and exercises, my sciatica was almost gone. Then, for no reason, it came back like before. While telling a friend about how frustrated I was, he referred me to Dr. Scriven. After treatments using the decompression table, my sciatica is completely gone. Dr.Scriven is a gem in Davis. He is professional yet relatable, efficient in his work but does not make you feel rushed during appointments. Great communication both in person and through scheduling. He uses modern tools like shock wave therapy and a decompression table along with traditional chiropractic methods to enhance the work, as well as being a great educator and resource for body awareness and exercises to do on your own. At a time in healthcare when personable and sincere care has given way to overbooking and moving people through the system, Dr.Scriven’s practice is a refreshing find.

Shockwave and Spinal Decompression!!! Due to my job, I have suffered from chronic neck pain for years, and have visited standard doctors, chiropractors, and massage therapists all without meaningful results. Dr. Scriven explained to me, mechanically, what was happening at every point during the appointment and made me feel like I was in the care of an expert. After one appointment with Dr. Scriven I have more pain relief than I’ve ever felt in the cumulative 3 years of previously attempted treatments. The shockwave was nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. It lasted about it 10 minutes, and felt like I received 10, back to back, hour long deep tissue massages without the associated soreness afterwards. The spinal decompression was incredibly relaxing but at the same time mechanically taxing. We focused on my neck but I felt it all the way down my spine down to my hamstrings. In summary, it was an incredibly emotional experience to finally confirm that I don’t have to live with this pain for the rest of my life.
