Chiropractic Adjustments
Adjustments are the foundation of care at Scriven Chiropractic, helping to restore movement, reduce pain, and support overall well-being. However, we understand that every patient responds differently, which is why we tailor each adjustment to your comfort level. Whether you prefer a traditional approach or a gentler technique, we ensure you feel confident and at ease throughout your treatment.
Diversified
We will assess your spine and extremities through a systematic process of motion palpation to identify restrictions in your joints. Once these restrictions have been pinpointed, we will deliver an HVLA (High velocity, low amplitude) thrust with the minimum force necessary to restore the normal joint motion. Often, a chiropractic adjustment produces a cavitation—an audible popping sound—which is simply the release of gas from the joint. This is a normal and harmless response, similar to cracking your knuckles, and can help restore movement and reduce tension in the area.
Drop Table
We utilize Drop Table Adjustments as a precise and comfortable technique to restore proper joint motion and alignment. This method involves a specialized chiropractic table with segmented sections that gently drop a small distance as pressure is applied, allowing for a targeted adjustment with minimal force. Drop Table Adjustments are highly effective for spinal and pelvic realignment, reducing joint restrictions, and alleviating pain while keeping the treatment gentle and efficient. This technique is particularly beneficial for patients who prefer a lighter approach or those with conditions that make traditional manual adjustments less suitable.
Flexion-Distraction
We utilize Flexion-Distraction Therapy with a specialized Leander table to provide gentle, effective relief for spinal conditions such as disc injuries, sciatica, and chronic lower back pain. This technique involves controlled, rhythmic flexion and decompression movements that help reduce pressure on the spine, improve joint mobility, and promote healing. By incorporating Flexion-Distraction into our treatment plans, we help patients experience lasting pain relief in a comfortable, non-invasive way, allowing them to move and feel better with confidence.
