Soft Tissue Therapy
Myofascial Release Technique
We incorporate Myofascial Release Technique into our treatments to relieve tension and tightness in the fascia—the connective tissue surrounding muscles and joints. By applying gentle, sustained pressure to restricted areas, this technique helps improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore natural movement. It is particularly effective for addressing chronic muscle tightness, postural imbalances, and soft tissue restrictions. By including MRT in our approach, we ensure that patients receive comprehensive care that targets both joint and soft tissue dysfunction.

IASTM
We use Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), commonly known as scraping, to break up fascial adhesions, improve circulation, and accelerate healing in tight or injured muscles. By gently gliding a specialized tool over the skin, this technique helps reduce scar tissue buildup, decrease inflammation, and enhance mobility.Scraping is particularly beneficial for treating chronic muscle tension, sports injuries, and overuse conditions, making it a key component in our approach to restoring pain-free movement.

Cupping Therapy
Dr. Scriven integrates cupping therapy into his treatments to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and speed up recovery. This technique uses suction to gently lift and decompress the muscles and fascia, allowing for increased blood flow and reduced tightness. Cupping is especially effective for improving mobility, alleviating pain, and supporting injury recovery. Many patients find it to be both therapeutic and relaxing, making it a great compliment to your care at Scriven Chiropractic.
